GARRICK SALUTES GALLIPOLI
needs Frontline Volunteers
Please read the following dispatch as a matter of High Priority.
Attention! All regular (and the not so regular) FOH civilians for our next entertainment event ‘Garrick Salutes Gallipoli‘ will be required to be in full mess dress, that is black skirt for the ladies, black trousers for the men, to be matched with white blouse or shirt, whichever applies. Matching white apron with mob cap will be supplied on site for the ladies, black bow tie for the gentlemen.
Therefore we are appealing to the ‘not so regulars’ to be ready to offer their services for this auspicious occasion, and when NCO Yvonne makes contact you will jump to attention and be free to help. This request has come from HQ.
Signed Matrons Susan Vincent and Kerry Goode.
Over and out. Really appreciating all offers of help for this season.
For your edification be it known that a simple light supper is being served in the canteen during intermission.
Lynne Devenish is supervising the actual catering but she will be calling on extra hands to help serve every night. Please put your hands up if you would like to volunteer …… yes You, You & You….
and contact Yvonne Starr to be put on the roster.

We need extra people to be rostered for Front of House for the next production.
We’ll be serving soup and rolls during the interval so I need someone working alongside me for preparing and serving, etc.
All cooking is being done offsite, it just needs heating. Simples!
Please give me a call if you have any questions or just contact Yvonne Starr to be added to the roster.
Thanks, Lynne 0488 906 076
The City of Swan has informed us that they need to do major works to the building which involve total rewiring with resultant removing of the roof, filling in of eaves, new air-conditioning and numerous other tasks.
They are currently sifting through tenders and the intention will be to commence works straight after Garrick Salutes Gallipoli. as a result, season 3, “Prepare to Meet Thy Tomb” will be a non starter this year. Lynne Devenish was going to organise a reading but due to other commitments she has put this on the back burner. At this stage we don’t know when this show will be mounted, but hopefully sometime in 2016.
One Act Season & Drama Festival Circuit
We are calling for expressions of interest from those who want to know more about the One Act Seasons and Drama Festival Circuit.
Lynda Stubbs is our co-ordinator for 2015 and she would like to organise a meeting for all those interested to discuss the criteria for the competitions and how to select a suitable play. this will be invaluable to any prospective directors and should greatly enhance your chances of being selected for a season and subsequent entry in the festival.
Lynda can be contacted on firstname.lastname@example.org
We are always in need of tradesmen and handy men to help out at the theatre. If you are retired but wish to keep active why not volunteer your time and skills to the club.
Currently we are looking for someone with cabinet making skills to look at some work backstage in the wardrobe area. All materials are paid for by the club so nobody is out of pocket.
VOLUNTEERS are the backbone of GARRICK THEATRE
